Inguinal Hernia
It is a bulge of the peritoneum, to which through the hole in the anterior wall of the abdomen in the groin area the bowels move. Hernias are very common and estimates suggest that around one in four of us develops a hernia at some point in our lifetime. Men are more likely to develop an inguinal hernia than are women. If left untreated it gradually widens resulting in quality of life deterioration. Surgery is the only effective way to relieve discomfort and prevent serious complications.
The most dangerous complication occurs when the contents of the hernia become trapped in the reduces resistance place in the abdominal wall. It may than obstruct the bowel, leading to severe pain, nausea, vomiting, and the inability to have a bowel movement or pass gas. An incarcerated hernia can also become strangulated, which cuts off the blood flow to the tissue that’s trapped. A strangulated hernia can be life-threatening if it isn’t treated.
Abdominal deformities
Malformations of the abdominal wall may relate to some or all of its layers.
Malformations of the all abdominal wall layers occur most often after pregnancy, large lose weight (weight reduction) as well as accompanied by abdominal and groin hernia. An inguinal hernia occurs when tissue, such as part of the intestine, protrudes through a weak spot in the abdominal muscles. They are caused by the loss of abdominal skin tension, organism aging, connective tissue diseases (collagen diseases), chronic steroids therapy and antithrombotic treatment.
